Today, Restore the Earth Foundation (REF), Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation (LBPF) mark an incredible accomplishment: completed reforestation of 5,000 native trees.

Over 13 planting days in 2014 and 2015, 275 volunteers planted 5,000 trees in St. Bernard Parish. This fall, volunteers will help plant an additional 5,000 trees and continue to revive damaged wetland forest along Louisiana’s coast. This collaborative partnership will continue to monitor and restore critical land.

“Restoring and rebuilding Louisiana wetland forests takes the efforts of more than one group to successfully address this challenge,” said P.J. Marshall, Executive Director of Restore the Earth Foundation.
