This week marks the completion of a 10,000 tree reforestation initiative executed by Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) in partnership with Restore the Earth Foundation (REF) and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation (LPBF). Saturday, April 2nd, will mark the official planting of the 10,000th native tree, by volunteers, in the Caernarvon Freshwater Diversion Outfall Coastal Forest.

This project has provided much needed restoration and reforestation in areas devastated by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Isaac.
